The Thornes
We moved to Atlanta in 1990 from South Florida. We were looking for a parish home and met the Reverend Richard Britton at an Ordination at the Cathedral of Saint Phillips. He invited us to the Church of the Incarnation. We came one Sunday with our daughters, and realized that we knew one of the parishioners (Dr. Lynda Woodruff).
When we decided to become members of the Church of the Incarnation (1991), Dr. Woodruff was our sponsor and we have been here since then. We became actively involved immediately and have hung in through-out our changed years. We have baptized a child, confirmed children and baptized grandchildren at Incarnation-commitment to its mission has been key to our years here. The distance from Stone Mountain has not deterred us, even though we pass numerous Episcopal Churches on our way to Southwest Atlanta.
“In our twenty five years at Incarnation we continue to take an active role in its Mission and committed to planning for its future. ”
