Eloise Roberts

Eloise moved to the Southwest Atlanta area in 1967, looking for an AME church for her family.  She visited an AME Church but didn’t get any substance.  After talking to a good friend who happened to be an Incarnation member, she visited.  During this first visit to Incarnation, Eloise’s 4 year old daughter was immediately introduced to Incarnation Sunday School program.

The very next Sunday, we came back and Gerel was issued a children’s choir robe. From then on Gerel was hooked.

Eloise and her family attended every Sunday for 2 years and finally joined in 1969.  She was confirmed and soon invited to serve as the parish treasurer.   She declined due to her busy work schedule but became a devout member of the altar guild and led the altar flower ministry as chairman.

After retiring, Eloise was asked again to serve as treasurer and she gladly accepted.  She is now our treasurer and has served for over ten years!
