The Dunns
The Dunn Family began attending Incarnation in the early 1980s. Eleonora was born and raised in the Episcopal Church in Costa Rica, where her father, Cornelius Wilson, served as the Anglican Bishop. So when Eleonora, her husband Elbert Sr. and their two children Elbert Jr. and Erika moved to East Point they immediately began looking for an Episcopal church to call home. After visiting Incarnation and receiving a warm welcome from the Sims family, Eleonora knew she was among family.
The Christian education is at the heart of why the Dunns love Incarnation. From youth Sunday School, to the Wednesday evening Bible Study, the Dunn Family enjoy lifelong learning about Christ and making a closer connection with our faith.
The Dunns have attended Incarnation year after year, serving in a multitude of ministries throughout the Parish. Eleonora has been a dedicated member of the Altar Guild and has taught Sunday School for nearly 30 years! Erika serves on the Vestry and leads our Nursery ministry during worship. During our VBS program then whole family volunteers for the week, Eleonora’s mother even visits from Costa Rica to volunteer!
As you might imagine, that is only part of the Dunn’s Incarnation Story. There is more to share if you ask them one Sunday.
