The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation presents: ‘Right in the Eye’: Ciné-concert of Georges Méliès’ films.
Les Artiste’ Noir in conjunction with the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, and Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States in conjunction with the E*L*E*V*A*T*E weekend in Cascade Heights southwest Atlanta.
Our weekend events begin with the “Taste of the Incarnation” on Saturday, October 20th, featuring local French inspired food by local restaurateur’s from African Francophile countries, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite after September 15th. Tickets are $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door.
On Sunday, October 21st, The City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs will present "Right in the Eye" from 6:00-9:00 p.m., including a French Wine Tasting provided by Incarnation to begin at 5:00 p.m.
The silent films of famed French cinematographer Georges Méliès are set to a live score by French musicians Alcoléa & Cie in this charming ciné-concert entitled “Right in the Eye.” The musicians make their Atlanta debut using more than two dozen instruments to create the music and sound effects for 11 of Méliès’ most iconic short films. The production includes an original score, lighting and scenic design.
